Informing and planning – Research

I made an advanced questionnaire asking people about what they would want if there was to be a new radio station. The reason why I made this advanced questionnaire is so that I can take the data into consideration for the radio station that me and my partners are going to make in the later stages of construction of our product.

In our questionnaire we found out that the most popular music genre were Dance, indie, RnB and dubstep. And the most wanted need for our radio station would be music mostly and also entrainment. The descriptions for jingles that people said they would like us to include are ‘slick, cool sounding and fresh tunes’.

We are going to use these results from the advanced questionnaires to satisfy peoples needs for our new radio station. One of my partners asked in his advance questionnaire about which names we could use for our radio station. The most popular feedback we got was for the name ‘Radio Fresh’. This will be the name that we are going to use for our radio station.

We asked in the questionnaire what tempo they most prefer for music. The overall feedback that we got to this question was a wide spread result. Each category ‘Fast and tech’, ‘Slow and chilled’, ‘upbeat and dance’ and ‘Casual and relaxed got a fairly equal amount of preferred tempos. This is great news for our new radio station because the most popular Music genres in the questionnaire were Dance, RnB, Dubstep and indie. And all of these different genres can easily be fit into the tempos that got fairly equal feedback.

In my questionnaire I asked if people were to have internet access would they be interested in a music podcast and other downloadable content. A big Majority of people said that they would be interested in a podcast. We are going to choose to mention a podcast during our radio station.
Overall I am pleased with the feedback that I got from the advance questionnaire and I will use all of this vital feedback well in order to create the radio station ‘Radio Fresh’.
