Genre - The Genre of music that radio heart uses in there radio are quite old songs which are from the 90s and also 80s. This shows that quite alot of the people that listen to radio heart are about the age of when this music was popular and in the charts. Radio heart also have modern popular music on aswell. The effect that this is, is that it attracts the new generation of people to the radio station aswell as the older generation.
Jingle - Radio heart use a jingle that uses a female voice that is singing the phrase 'This is Heart' along to a tone. The effect that this jingle has is it is a quick tune that sticks in your head. These jingles are a good way of advitising the radio station because it sticks into your head and sounds good and it also has the name of the radio station. Heart FM try to put these jingles in on a regular basis in order to keep everyone that are tuned in to know that they are on Heart FM.

The presenter wil change her casual language to more formal and a serious tone of voice.
Traffic and travel / weather - Heart FM update the people that are listening to the radio station on the latest travel and congestion of roads. The reason why they do this is so that the listeners can take this imformation into concideration. Also alot of how people are tuned into the radio are through car radios. This means that they are travelling and that they can know where the traffic is without having to find out the hard way. This keeps the listeners wanting to listen more aswell because they want to know the imformation. Also the weather for Heart FM use a seperate person to tell the forecast. 'Big patches of rain clouds moving across the eastern parts'. The language that is used is detailed and great for exsplaining the weather forecast.
Interviews / Phone ins - When there are phone ins on Heart FM they put the phone call conversation on air so that every listener can hear the exact details from the phone call. The presenter speaks very loud and clear so that the caller will understand as well as possible. When Heart FM have interviews the questions that they ask are quite short and 'To the point' questions. The effect that this has in that they can get the most out of the person that they are interviewing without having to speak too much themselves. People are listening to an interview to hear mostly of what the person has to say not the Radio interviewer.
